Founded by John and Sharon Russell, Second Home is inspired by the couple's own history in syndicated luxury boating and shared home ownership. Their vision is to provide families with the opportunity to co-own and create memories in stunning holiday homes located in some of the world's most iconic locations.

Drawing from their extensive experience in shared ownership of luxury assets since 1999, John and Sharon Russell have now focused their expertise on bringing together likeminded families to share ownership, use, and memories of extraordinary holiday homes. Their business experience spans the marine industry with Mustang and Riviera luxury cruisers, as well as a shared villa in a quaint Italian village. They believe that the most crucial aspect of successful shared ownership is the ability to share, which has led to incredible holiday opportunities and lifelong friendships among their owners.

The idea for Second Home was conceived during a vacation in Queenstown with long-time friends Peter and Susie Hamilton. While enjoying an ebike ride from Arrowtown to the wine region of the Gibbston Valley, the group decided to make this a more permanent and regular experience. John and Sharon, look forward to spending more time in John's homeland of New Zealand and introducing their grandchildren to the joys of family holidays in the Central Otago region.

The first step was to select the perfect locations for their holiday homes. Second Home has chosen Frankton Queenstown, our own home which was featured on Grand Designs New Zealand for its innovative co-ownership concept, Jacks Point in Queenstown where our first apartment has sold out and we have started on our second, and a home in the Vineyard at Carrick Winery near Queenstown which is due to be released in late 2024, for their initial three properties. These locations are designed to cater to the needs of adventurous families for years to come.

Silver Creek is an extraordinary new residential community in Queenstown, offering a modern alpine designed home for Second Home co-owners to become inaugural homeowners. With stunning views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables, this development is poised to set the benchmark in position and design for years to come.

Jacks Point in Queenstown is an established, high-quality, and desirable location. With a top-rated golf course and easy access to the Remarkables Ski Fields, Frankton shopping precinct, and Queenstown Airport, it is a favourite destination for golfers, skiers, mountain bikers, and nature lovers. A three-bedroom first-floor apartment in Jacks Point's restaurant and shopping precinct is currently under construction, with completion expected in the first quarter of 2024.
